BEBA (Building and Enhancing Bonding and Attachment): A Center for Family Healing

Womb Surround Process Workshops

Overview

BEBA is now offering 'Womb Surround' Process Workshops for BEBA parents and other interested adults. These are group processes which enable paticipants to explore their own early life experiences and the resulting patterns and early imprints. Years of research has shown us that parents who have explored their own prenatal and perinatal material have an easier time witnessing, acknowledging and comprehending their child's early life experiences. They are often well equipped to support their child's journey towards healing and to provide their child with deeply empathic understanding. In addition, participants commonly state that the processes are deeply transformational and often support self-awareness and expression, a deepening of loving bonding within primary relationships, and a healing of prenatal trauma and dysfunctional behaviors.

Process Workshop Format

Two and a half days with four to five participants, two facilitators, and assistant(s). This process workshop is designed to support parents and other adults to explore their early material in a safe, efficient and supportive manner. The workshop will follow the format created and refined by Dr. Castellino during the last 12 years. The first evening you will be introduced to the work, share your intention and learn ground rules for creating a safe environment. During the following two full days, each participant will have a turn to explore aspects of his/her imprints from early prenatal and perinatal experiences. The group will provide support in the form of a "womb surround". Each session is followed by a debriefing, integration process and discussion.

About The Facilitators

The workshops will be co-facilitated by Nancy Greenfield and Tara Blasco, both of whom work as facilitators in the BEBA Family Clinic. They are both graduates of the 2-year Castellino Prenatal and Birth Therapy Foundation Training, have assisted another 2-year Castellino Foundation Training, are registered craniosacral therapists (RCST®), are Ph.D. candidates at the Santa Barbara Graduate Institute. Nancy and Tara are both M.F.T. interns (Tara, MFT intern 45256; Nancy, MFT intern 47194). Tara has worked as a psychologist in Barcelona, Spain. They are supervised by Cynthia Burnside (MFT22657).
